Introducing the New Level 2 Certificate in Behaviour that Challenges in Children course

Details: Written by Lauren Simpkins Published: 14/06/2019

The Skills Network are proud to introduce you to our brand-new online Level 2 Certificate in Behaviour that Challenges in Children course, which is a fully funded, nationally recognised qualification available at no cost.

This online course provides learners with a detailed understanding of behaviour that challenges in children, including how such behaviour can be assessed and the avoidance techniques that can help minimise the effects of behaviour that challenges.

Many children tend to display aspects of behaviour that challenges at some point in their lives, but most eventually develop the necessary skills to grow out of this. However, some children (especially those with a learning disability, sensory issues or a mental health condition) may not develop these skills without the appropriate help and support, and therefore may continue to display behaviour that challenges.

This funded course is ideal for anyone who currently works in, or would like to work in, the education and health and social care sectors.

The course is split into six manageable units:

  • Awareness of behaviour that challenges in children
  • Principles of intervention when working with behaviour that challenges in children and young people
  • Behaviour that challenges and mental health in children
  • Behaviour that challenges and learning disabilities
  • Behaviour that challenges, sensory issues and autism
  • Legislation supporting behaviour that challenges in children.

As a distance learning course, you have the freedom to study on your own schedule, anytime, anywhere via fully online learning.

Once completed, you will receive a nationally recognised qualification from the national awarding organisation, TQUK.
